Myeongga Budaejjigae was the first place where Songtan Budaejigae opened. In the past, there was an alley behind Myeongga Budaejigae (Sambo Theater), and the first place where Budaejigae started operating in that alley (Myeongga Budaejigae Kitchen). Xinjiang-dong was established in 1952 when the U.S. Air Force was stationed in the neighborhood, and even when there was a TV in the past, it was a booming street with TV antennas in every house.
